Eating is a basic and life-affirming activity. How did it become so confusing?
Several years ago I found myself feeling helplessly confused over nutrition advice and I started researching… and researching… I have since completed certifications in nutrition and in Intuitive Eating and I am still learning. With this newsletter, I want to share what I have figured out, debunk some of the misinformation circulating, and support anyone who wants a safe harbour from trying to fit into a mold.
The last part brings me to the title, Crowded Tables. From the myriad names that evoke the great pleasure of coming together for a meal, I also wanted to capture the intention of spaciousness and inclusivity. There is room at this table for anyone who would like to ull up a chair.
About me
I am an American living in London with my husband, teenagers, and pets. I am a chef, a nutritionist, an Intuitive Eating counselor and a former lawyer. I cook, read, write, hike, lift weights. I also love research and figuring stuff out.
